Landscaping costs can vary significantly depending on the size of the property, the condition of the site and the materials selected.
Providing an approximate budget helps us determine what is realistic and recommend a suitable scope. It does not mean the quote will automatically be increased to use the entire amount.
Without any indication of budget, we may prepare a design using premium materials and advanced plants when you were hoping for a simple, practical garden. Alternatively, we may suggest a basic solution when you are prepared to invest in a more complete result.

Where the complete project is outside the available budget, we may be able to recommend completing the garden in stages.
What Condition Is the Site In?
New-build properties are not always ready for turf and planting.
The site may contain compacted builder’s sand, construction waste, concrete residue, weeds or unsuitable soil. Levels may also need to be adjusted around paving, doors, fences and drainage points.
Photos are extremely helpful when requesting a quote. Try to include:
Wide photos showing the whole area
Side-access points
Existing paving and levels
Water connections
Problem areas
Any existing garden features being retained

Is There Suitable Access?
Access can have a considerable effect on the time and labour involved.
Wide side access may allow machinery and bulk materials to be brought closer to the work area. Narrow gates, completed fencing, air-conditioning units or neighbouring structures may mean that soil, mulch, stone and turf need to be transported by hand.

Limited parking or delivery access
Restricted access does not necessarily prevent the work from being completed, but it needs to be considered when preparing the quote.
